I just spoke to Herman. I'm going to see him at about 1:00 pm tomorrow.
He doesn't have wifi where he is so he can't use a computer to get online. I'm going to bring my laptop anyway, but I doubt that we'll be able to get online.
I'm going to print this thread and bring it to him so that he can see everyone's greetings. Please post to this thread between now and tomorrow morning so that your post will be included in the printout.

Herman,
I only know you by reputation through this thread and I'm only 63. Congratulations on having so many online friends; I hope you weather this storm. I'm sure you have more people thinking of you and wishing you well than you know.
My first car was a 1952 MG TD - yes, the one with the hardwood frame. I bought it for $400, added a heater, rebuilt the transmission, rebuilt the engine, painted it (including a red and white checkerboard grille), installed a new convertible top, and sold it for $400 when I bought my 1962 injected Corvette and my mom wouldn't let me keep both cars in the driveway.
Lots of cars since then, but the S2000 that I bought for my daughter (MY01) and the S2000 that I bought for me (MY07) are more fun (and higher quality) than any roadster I've ever owned.
We all hope you're back in your own roadster soon.
Best regards.

Hey Herman!
I'm sure Rob is passing along all our good wishes to you.
I neglected to include a picture in my note to you. I'm posting this one again (posted it the other thread). This is from the Sunday afternoon drive of the Nor'Easter 08 (Westport, MA) weekend. This might help put some faces with names.
From left to right: Herman, Lainey & Rick, Phil/Ruined 2, Connie/PJ Rider, Bobbie & Jeff/WhrDLMI of VA
During our drive, I remember hearing your voice on the radio commenting on the bumpy roads we had in our area. A few of them have improved since your last visit, but not so many.
I hope your health issues are soon resolved and that we get to meet again.

Herman,
I am sorry to learn that you hit a rough patch in the road of life. Please accept my hopes for a speedy recovery. Please get well enough that we can enjoy your company in January at Zippy's (Ken) Mid Winter Gathering.
I have always enjoyed the conversations that we have had and look forward to the next one.
Best regards,
Matt
