Right at this time in 2005, I got my '03 GPW with 12k miles/ never in the rain. Decided to keep it "perfect" and spent the bucks on the Clear Bra on the entire front end. 5 weeks later, I hydroplaned on the Peeay Turnpike.....needing replacement of bumper, fenders and hood.

The only "clear bra" covering that's left is on both side mirrors

Congrats on YOUR new S....hopefully your luck will be better than mine~
Ouch. With the '03 I'm guessing you were running S02s? My second order of business is to get a set of RE01Rs on the new car. They are a great rain tire - not saying you can't hydro with them, but it would take the perfect storm. Much better in my experience than what is on the car atm - the stock RE050s.

Just a word of warning about clear bras, though. I don't know how long the original clear bra had been on but the body shop had a hell of a time removing it. No way it could have been removed without doing serious harm to the paint.
Yeah, I've worried some about just that, but the 3M guys say it can be done. I'm going to give it a shot, I think, although it's like $695 installed.
