When the other shoe drops can't it be a good thing or a bad thing?
I never thought "shoe dropping" brought forth good news either.

Glad that is not the case, Dave. Congrats on the new rides.

Ellen, find a friendly Honda dealer, and get them to do an inventory search of the East Coast. That's how I found this one - and it was in my own backyard. Lots of these dealers are in huge ownership groups, and you might even be able to get the vehicle transferred locally if required.
Dealer even ported the HT hardware to the new vehicle for me at no charge!

Dave
Now thats a dealer, share the friendly dealers name. Maybe you can send him some biz from someone reading this thread.

It was Crown Honda of Southpoint, in Durham, NC. I recommend them highly.

I've also had Asheboro Honda and Burlington Honda (both in NC) do inventory searches for me. Never had a problem getting any of my local dealers to do one and share the results.

^ Really? I've had multiple dealers in NC and before that, in OH do these searches. I've never heard one of them complain, or refuse.

You must have some up there that won't do this for you - what are they, ex-Chrysler dealerships? Sheesh - that sux.

ya, you know it
one is actually a chrysler /jeep/honda/nissan etc conglomerate

worst stealership ever. I go in with the honda parts diagram to the parts dept with the honda printed full retails for parts. Somehow there quote comes in about 20% higher than that!

lets not even talk about the car pricing.

Ive said enough.

When my front end got messed up by a semi tire tread that dropped in front of me at 80 on I-20, my insurance covered replacement of the clear bra after the front fenders, bumper cover, and hood were refinished.

Just a word of warning about clear bras, though. I don't know how long the original clear bra had been on but the body shop had a hell of a time removing it. No way it could have been removed without doing serious harm to the paint.
