Bill,
I knew that you were joking all along. After the "Audi 5000 Unintended Acceleration" cases and other attempts to prove Mr. Bumble correct, it became obvious years ago that facts have no place whatsoever in an American courtroom. ;-)

So let me sum this up. After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral:
When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.
When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

Sometimes they are not competent nor intelligent. But I agree that it's not too useful to start spouting off that I think so.
Other times they do not have command of the facts, and that I see no reason to not "call into question". You make this place sound like the second grade, where everybody gets a gold star whether they got the answer right or wrong.

(And as a (welcome) guest you don't necessarily have to deal with the PMs on this board that I get from time to time... Anyway, I don't make the rules here, but for my part you are welcome to continue "calling into question" as you see fit!)

That's right, Mike. For what it's worth, most people here may possibly have less a command of facts than you have or someone else may have. But folks are not here looking for gold stars. And no one I know is passing any out. My comments were intended to suggest a principle. Most of us here are open to being corrected but resist inferences that we are stupid rubes.

FWIW Mike, I'll agree that you and I can continue zealously pointing out the other's mistakes.

Barnyard Squabbler
Stanford Math Circle
In any flock, every pair of chickens will engage in barnyard squabble to determine which of the
two is dominant over the other; hence the origin of the phrase

I'm sorry if I don't have the command of the English language that I wish I had.
