I was getting depressed reading this and then felt much better when I discovered your team won. I'm sure after a few adult beverages and the big win you felt wayyyy better. (it couldn't have gotten much worse -- nothing smells worse than dog poop on your shoe)

Isn't it strange when things like that all occur on the same day? It has certainly happened to me. My usual situation starts with a defined project, like mowing the lawn. Then the lawn mower won't work. So I go to get the tool I need to work on it, and that is either missing or also needs work. This phenomenon can cascade to the point that I have so many new projects in front of me that I forget what I was trying to do in the first place.
