Hey Flts,

Good luck with all of this. I hope it turns out to be nothing, but know that we're all with you. Godspeed.

Maybe they can cure your politics while you're there. That would make it all worthwhile!

Even if they can't, get well quickly so that we can continue to fight in the politics subforum. Don't forget, we have a bet that you're going to have to pay off next year.

Sounds serious, but then you certainly have handled serious before! Sending positive thoughts your way.

Ok I'm an insensitive geek, Are you getting full remote control surgery? that sounds cool.

Since it is abdominal, it doesn't sounds you'll qualify for the titanium club for men.

They'll start with cameras and robotics and go from there.
Control: "open aperture"
OR: "Ksshhh roger, stretching open aperture"
Control: "release rover 1"
OR: "chshh....Rover released "

To boldly go where none have gone before.....

On a more serious note, they are doing a lot of the colon type abdominal surgeries laparoscopically with a small bikini cut.
I could send you a pic of mine but your probably not interested.

Good luck, you'll do fine.

They start laparoscopic and then go to version of davinci if needed. Last resort is invasive surgery. Because of it's location and size it's a bit complicated or so I've been told.
If you post up yours I'll post up mine. Got some great colonoscopy pics too. That would certainly liven up the picture thread.

Grant, wishing you all the best. It seems you could have your own My Medical thread in lieu of the Dead Celebrity Animal thread.
