I was an occasional "Great 68" listener when I lived in the Mississippi Delta and Rick was working at WMPS AM 680 in Memphis. Dees was actually a pretty funny AM jock back then. I was working weekends on air at WSWG in Greenwood at the time ("The Delta's fifty thousand watt blowtorch"). It was FM but pretty much an AM top 40 format so I was interested in Dees' shtick.

At the time that song came out, they were the only all native American band to chart. It's a catchy pop/rock ditty.
