Once I start, I can't stop...

For me, it is THIS. So I just stopped buying it.

Licorice...my favorite vice. That said, I have an unopened bag in my nightstand (for safekeeping) and it's been there for nearly 3 weeks. I just had my annual physical and decided I needed to make some dietary changes so I gave up diet soda, the endless supply of donuts in the lunchroom at the office, and most other junk foods. The 1st few days were rough (soda, especially) but I am getting accustomed to drinking water, eating brown rice instead of white rich, and eating my In n'Out burger "protein" style. This, and the exercise bike, and I'm down 5 lbs. in 3 weeks.
Didn't mean to hijack your thread Patty. As for the licorice, though, I was thinking that I can get a pair of the kitchen shears and cut it into little pieces and place in small Ziploc bags to ration it. I can give up lots of stuff but not my licorice.

I have Red Vines in a tub from Costco and I leave them more than take them. I like black licorice and have both of these in a candy drawer I keep supplied from Target. I can stop, though. Not like Cheetos.

Neither of the above are on my must have list. Red licorice is OK, but in very small quantities.
The only ice cream in the house is little "Hoodsie cups" for the grandkids. A little cup of chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
I can take or leave ice cream except for the occasional cone when we are cruising in the S on a nice summer day. I also get a McD's hot fudge sundae from time to time to satisfy the chocolate craving. If I order it with fries and that is my lunch, that is the sign of a bad day at the office!
