I'm in central NY this week. Landed in Syracuse on Tuesday - 86 deg and raining cats and dogs. Wednesday was transitional and today is beautiful. Flying out tomorrow to go back to the heat for one night then off to Yellowstone.

We have a cooling period coming. It should be back in the 80s next week.

Hopefully the air will be clearer too. We have had the smoke and ash from the coastal area wildfire for several days.

It's gonna get better.

110 today in Santa Maria, Cali. Broke record of 1929. We are only about 8 miles from the Pacific also!

Soledad only got up to about 105* today. Salinas is still over 80* at 9:40 PM. Normal temperatures in this area would be in the low 70"s to mid 80's.

105,110...those sure are hot temps! Good luck being able to stay cool. Here in the northeast our highs have been in the 60's the past 3 days.

I would gladly trade you temperatures. Today is to be 103* again. At 7 this morning, it already was 70*. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid 70's. I hope they are right.

Enjoyed a brief respite from the heat while visiting family in northern Washington state.
It was amazing to see so much snow in the Cascades this time of year.
