I too would love to see the Olympics limit competition to true amateurs but the devil is in the details. Problems can range from prohibition of paid coaches (see .Scipio Africanus "Sam" Mussabini) to competitors who are amateur in name only. *cough* Russia.

I happened to be watching it live when Tom Cruise made his drop .... very cool, especially jumping on a motorcycle to ride off with the flag.
