I have to laugh about it or I'd cry. I just cannot believe what these people accept as the norm. Another example is a local builder who lives across the street. He has a very old large dog that he keeps out in his back yard. Said dog barks continually so he put a shock collar on the dog and refuses to let the dog in the house. Why you may ask? Because he has a 3 legged cat that he also leaves outside and he thinks the dog is keeping the cat from getting eaten by coyotes. This same neighbor once left his garage door open and a raccoon wandered into the garage SO the a**hole shot and killed the raccoon on the floor of his garage. With that being said, I really love SOME of my neighbors.

I live deep in the heart of Silly-Con Valley. . . and kind of like chunks of valentine's neighborhood, never have I seen such wealthy and high-IQ'd folks do such amazingly stupid things.

That said, I'm sure the woods is a bonus multiplier to a type of stupid of which I'd be scared and in awe.

^^ That describes my state of being much of the time: "scared and in awe".

I have discovered that rural South Carolina is not the nation's brain trust and also that wealth does not necessarily come to those who are possessed of high intelligence. Ie, the idiots who occupy many of the houses (some of which are very expensive houses occupied by the drivers of nice BMWs and other high-end luxury vehicles) nearby put food outside for their kitties and then want to kill the raccoons, coyotes and other critters that gobble up not only the kitty food but the kitties as well. These same idiots occasionally have been known to throw leftovers out in the bushes/trees. I have an opinion about this, but it is better not stated.

Yes. I'm certainly not going to set up feeding stations for them.

Turkey is cheap...ditch it.
Turkey is a funny one for me. . . per pound, it's usually cheap, but you have to buy at least 12 lbs. of it (or more) for the whole bird (way too much for Joy and I).

Either way, the cost of the bird is usually less than my co-pay to the emergency room plus whatever exciting drugs I might have to buy from the pharmacy, so I'd throw it out.
Just buy the dang turkey breast!
