Big nuggets they're findin,
North to Alaska,
We're goin north to Alaska's gold.

(I never heard the Jerry Lee Lewis version. I can't imagine what it must sound like.)

^Amazon is offering a large collection (over $200 worth) of Jerry Lee's music -- I looked at it because +1 is a Jerry Lee fan , and North to Alaska is one of the tunes on disc 2. The lyrics are virtually the same as the Horton lyrics (which was one of my dad's favorite tunes back in the day). I remember the song because daddy practiced it often at our family sing-a-longs. Daddy played guitar, mom played piano and the family used to entertain ourselves singing old songs. Talk about nostalgia -- wow, those were some fun days. Neighbors used to join us and bring banjos, violins (or fiddles), mandolins, etc. and we'd have huge get-to-togethers filled with music, clogging, etc. Great fun. [SIZE=1]sorry I went ot -- vintage memory trail . . .

I'm leaving for the Carlisle, PA meet in a little while. I'll see all of you on Sunday night or Monday. (I hope it doesn't rain)

It was a great meet. Paul out did himself with the drive, the weather cooperated and everyone had a great time. Click here for photos

Chapter one says you love her,
Love her with all of your heart,
In chapter two you tell her,
You're never, never, ever gonna part,
In chapter three you tell her,
The meaning of romance,
In chapter four.............

Well, what happens in chapter four?
What's the name of the song?
Which group recorded it?

Didn't we do this already?

"In chapter 4, you break-up,
Won't you give her one just more chance?"

I thought we did the "Ten Commandments of Love", but maybe you're right. I'm hoping to bring this thread back to life.

It's your turn.

[QUOTE=jukngene,Jul 28 2004, 10:26 PM] You're right... Ten Commandments of Love, by the Moonglows.

I lose 10 points on that!
