On a related yet utterly useless sidenote, I've never knowingly heard a "Mamas and Papas" song.

You are correct. That's what we were told anyway.
How about the other questions?

There were 4 terrorists from the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization).
Next question (my last question for a while, after this one drewchie is going to take over).
Everybody know that Cass Elliot and John Phillips were in the singing group "Mamas and Papas" just as everyone knows that John Sebastian was in the Lovin Spoonful. What many people don't know is that they were together in a group that preceeded these two groups.

1). What was the name of the group?
2). Who were the Mamas and Papas (names)?
3). Who was in the Lovin Spoonful (names)?
Bonus #1-What movie did John Sebastian write the soundtrack for?
Bonus #2-What TV show did John Sebastian write the theme for?
Bonus #3-What did Mama Cass die from? [/QUOTE]
Heart failure
My turn:
1. Who/what is Wavy Gravy?
2. The Pink Floyd song, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a tribute to whom?
3. Who were the primary members of the "Merry Pranksters"?

Wavy is an old friend!!!
He's a great guy and a buddy from the summer of love days. I last saw him backstage at a Dead concert shortly before Jerry died. (His teeth were paited with American flags... I miss Wavy!)
Shine on was written for Syd Barret, the original co-founder of the band w/ Roger Waters, who was institutionalized at the time. (Syd was)
The pranksters were Ken Kesey, Tim Leary... give me a minute and I'll remember the rest...

OK, here's another one...
When Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon he made a very famous statement. Unfortunately, he made a mistake in what he had planned to say. What was he supposed to state? (very slight difference)

If you can remember the 60's, you weren't there!

They toured the country in a yellow bus name Further. Kesey wrote "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest".
Wavy Gravy was on stage at Woodstock. Part of the Hog Farm Collective.

I didn't think anyone would get the answers so fast.
