Okay, I got it, though I had to use the internet because I had to see if it was a mammal because it lays eggs.
Right?

I do, but let's hope Rob or some other participant can come up with it.
Where are they found?

Okay, while on the subject of coinage.....
On every cent, at the base of the bust of Lincoln are three initials. What are they, what do they stand for, why are they there and finally, what important change was made in 1909 which made some of that years cents very valuable?
Well that's it from here....

Victor David Brenner
The designer (of the obverse, and the original "wheat" reverse)
His initials used to be on the back below the wheat wreath, but Teddy R. thought it was too prominent a display of the designer's initials and had it changed mid-year.
(Teddy also tried to remove the motto "In God We Trust" from coinange in 1907, but was overruled shortly afterwards.)
