Default ok so here's a question?

You know how when you call most big companies now you get the recording
" calls may be recorded for quality purposes and training exercises" or similar mumbo jumbo.

Does not mean that both parties are now informed of recording and you can keep your own copy?

I wonder how the recalcitrant agent would react when you tell them they are being recorded?

Most likely they wouldn't continue with the call or it would be transferred to a supervisor that would do the same.

I kind of see that as a win-win for me.

Hmmmm... I'll have to see if the iphone has an app that will answer my calls with that statement, then notify me of an incoming call!

Wonder if people would hang up?

I haven't found an app for that, but with iOS 7 the ability to block calls from specific numbers is built into the OS. I've blocked about a dozen numbers (telemarketers), and it works very well.

I know a few people I would like to block! I may have to locate that.

You want to block my number just because I call you at 8:00 on a Sunday morning?
