We once had a pretty Christmas Cactus that was sent to us as a house-warming gift from our relatives in California. It bloomed that year, and then it never bloomed again for a long time. It was very big and healthy, but it never bloomed until...

I put it outside during the summer one year in a shaded spot, and then the next year it bloomed inside!

However, we don't have it anymore. I don't remember what happened to it, but I guess it died somewhere along the way.

I should get another one as I really like them.

Zoro didn't get any turkey for Thanksgiving so he went out and caught himself a dove, on Friday. Not bad for a blind cat. Of course he was at the door yowling to show me and didn't get to bring his prize inside.

....(to be continued....northbound river cruise next....life along the Nile....longest river in the world IIRC)
So....we start out on our home away from home for the next 3 nights/ 4 days:

with lots of the masted "feluccas" along the way

and shore excursions by day

and by night

along the shore of the Nile were scenes both tropical (mango and banana trees, goats and CAMELS grazing by the water)

and also more urban scenes when passing by towns...often hearing the call to prayers ringing out in an eerie fashion

evenings onboard included some amateur entertainment

and TOO much great food 3X daily + tea time

(next: major locks on the Nile and many temples/ tombs at Luxor )
