BTW, the Bar Stool was on a trailer being towed by a classic Ford pick um up with a Cleavland 351 (built) motor in it.
What, no seat belt?

It is funny but I always think of my friendly neighbor, when I was growing up in North Hollywood (nothing like Hollywood, btw) who loved beer, but thought he wasn't an alcoholic because he only drank beer. He not only got a traffic ticket for riding a bicycle drunk, around the neighborhood, but he died from being a drunk. A nice guy, too, although his wife was rather disappointed in him.

Hey Gene, when Jerry and I were walking around at Dana Point, there were some other ol' farts there (it is an old fart hangout) with Westies. Saw 3 of the doggies and thought of you.

Matt, Deb has also mentioned that, the Ritz Carlton at Dana Point. I've never been there but do see it as we drive down. You ever come this way, we'll have to go there.

Yes, I love the bar at the Ritz at Dana Point. Those huge Palladian windows overlooking the ocean and Catalina Island. Really nice. The +1 and I are definitely going there for a drink at HC II.

So you were there on a clear day when one could actually see Catalina Island? Many days it is NOT visible due to either smog or the marine layer or a combination thereof.

That was one of the distressing things even back in the 80's. Looking from Huntington Beach one could look straight up at azure blue sky and then slowly look to the north and the air would turn brown due to the smog. Just like one experiences when flying into the LA Basin as the plane settles down through the smog layer.

As much as I love cars and the internal combustion engine it is time to find a better way of propulsion that delivers performance and is not only GREEN but practical. IMHO hydrogen is the closest thing to the way we drive our vehicles now that offers promise. It provides better range than electric without the long charge times and when the tank is empty one refills it and keeps on driving just like we have been use too for generations of motorists.
