Thanks, everyone!

Lainey, all the awards went to the rods and/or classic cars, as I pretty much expected they would.

A couple of comments...

That Merc is my favorite of that car show as well...except for your NSX of course, Gene . They're the perfect mix of class and bad-ass. I was born too late, I swear .

And anyone out there who has kids should show them the pics of that destroyed S. That's an eye opener for sure. Might keep them from joy riding when you're on vacation.

Got more pics of the dog coming, if you're not too sick of them . He is our world right now .

What was the big deal about the 69 being all roped off like it was something special?
Dave,

One of my neighbors who is in the local Corvette club says that '69 restoration cost over $100K, and he calls it a giant "paper-weight," since the owner never drives it.

Car shows everywhere this time of year. Headed to one this evening. Turn out a bit small as weather wasn't the greatest. There might be a small one tomorrow evening and we're taking the grandson to that one.

Some pics from this evening.
A beautiful 1962 Chevy

You can guess what these are...I don't know.

50's Ford Fairlaine 500 Skyliner...not much room in the trunk!

Plymouth Fury Super Sport.....impressive under the hood!

a few more coming...

Citroen not sure the year....the back looks low... From wiki: The Citroën SM was a high performance coupé produced by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1970-1975. The SM placed third in the 1971 European Car of the Year contest, trailing its stablemate Citroën GS, and won the 1972 Motor Trend Car of the Year award in the U.S. in 1972.

A Lincoln

1946 Ford Woody...this thing even smelled old!

Wanna race?

Nice old T bird!

Two more T birds and an Olds.

That's it for tonight.
