....I've had plenty of problems with the place, lately, even though my ex husband did an excellent job building everything there. The temps are below 0*F in the winter sometimes, so it's a harsh environment and things need lots of TLC. ....I was there in April and I had a split water line coming from the well, before it ever got to the storage tank. My neighbor up there, John, saw it spraying into the sky and came and told me, then fixed it. This trip, another local, Chris, fixed a wire connection on the generator, because I couldn't get it started at the end of my last trip in April. Then, on Sunday, I noticed a water leak from the tree watering valve box. Another split PVC connection. John, will be fixing it for me this week. .....
This makes our summer cottage maintenance sound like a piece of cake! You're lucky to have the two local guys who help out.

Gettysburg cottage: I have to call our local plumber every second year re: a leak somewhere (due to trapped water freezing), but otherwise the maintenance is pretty much limited to fixing a rotted wood step, etc. This spring I had to fix a railing and plastic gutter...due to a large pine branch falling in an ice storm over the winter.

Then, of course, there WAS the deck replacement in summer 2009....

^Nice photos, Jerry. I'm surprised you didn't catch me swatting at the mosquitoes in the meadow. They sure took the joy out of it in a hurry.

Nice pics, Patty and Spokes. Kennedy Meadows is lovely and I think worth keeping up. Are you seriously thinking of selling it back to the ex?? You could sell it to someone else.
