Our day at the apple orchard and a trip to a beach to chase the waves. It was VERY windy. "Borrowed" an extra kid. A friend of Ally's. They had fun.
Sounds as if it was a fun day!

^^ It was a real beauty, Gene. There were many gorgeous boats that were actually works of art. There was a big demonstration tent where boatmakers were demonstrating the art, but the tent was totalllllly mobbed, so I couldn't really see anything. The show is still going on today, but we'll probably head over to the beach this afternoon instead. I'm sure it was a great weekend for the tourism industry. I noticed there were a ton of Canadians who've arrived for the winter. Love those folks.

Yep, there's something ALL THE TIME. We pick and choose what we think we'd enjoy. The Harvest Festival is also going on at Brookgreen this weekend, but we went to that before and its more for children with pumpkin decorating contests, scarecrow building, etc. We passed on it this year as we've been invited to a members' gala at Brookgreen later this month with hors d'oeuvre and wine, etc., so I think we'll enjoy that a bit more. There is a cruise in or two a couple/times a month and Jim hits most of those and if I'm up for it, I tag along. We go to a lot of art shows, gallery openings, garden stuff, etc. as well. I've never been into picture taking and find it to be too much work and then there is the organization involved in keeping them and I just don't want more work to do. I almost never look at old pictures and don't care for it, but decided I'd try to snap a few this time to email to our son. There is ALWAYS live music at many of the local bars and restaurants on the marshwalk. We take walks over there a lot in the evenings and enjoy listening. I'm really surprised you haven't been down to visit your family here, but it IS a looooong trip.

Val, I keep thinking about planning a trip south even though I would not look forward to the drive. I won't head that way when it's hot, so that rules out the summer months. In the spring, Rick is into growing his plants, so that makes it hard to leave the house for a week+, I think I'd like to head there in late September or early October, however, my boss is often away, so I can't get the time off from work.
I'm still for next year.

Nice Deb. We had a gorgeous sunrise the other day. Can't capture a pic from our house, wish I would have had the time to head somewhere to snap a shot.
A few different things I saw today, went to a car show and for a walk in some woods.
Look who is in the back seat!
Cool stuff in this trunk. The "American Pickers" if you watch that show on the History Channel would love this stuff.
Quite the paint job on this Cobra
Check out the dog and what he is doing.
This guy had mirrors on the ground under his car, so you could check out his "mods"
I really liked the colors on this mushroom. Should have brushed off the bugs though...Wonder if it's one of those "magic mushrooms."
