If one of the cats ever pees on it, it will smell I've had that problem a few times...

I have found it is nearly impossible to get pee smells out of plastic / rubber even with the special cleaning products out there. Easier just to buy a new one.

Not to mention, my cats are spoiled and stubborn and they don't like the rubber feel - I had one of those for a while and no one used that particular potty.

Not our usual July 4th. No trip to the beach, or cookout to attend. So we hit the road in the S, and headed to Plymouth, MA. Home of the Pilgrims 1620.

Here are some things that caught my eye.

The harbor

MayflowerII

We missed the parade, but the vendors are hanging around....fireworks tonight.

Piece of paradise for sale?

Leaded glass window in old historic building

Historic House

No place to garden? Flower pots on the roof work too!

For the pics and the tour of historic MA, Lainey. You live so close to much of US History! We have spent the day preparing and freezing fresh picked green beans which we got from a local Mennonite farmer. (We have large Amish and Mennonite communities nearby. No pics, though!)

We do live in a great area, Gene. I think of Patty often when I see these things like the old historic buildings, pieces of early history. Not much of that in her back yard.

Very nice pictures, Lainey. You do have a lot of nice things in your backyard.

Yeah, I think of Patty often, too, like during the snowstorm of March 7-8, 2008, which dumped 20 inches of snow on us and set a record.

Yeah, come to think of it, I thought of goblueS2K a lot that weekend, too, because he was in California while I was in Ohio dealing with 20 inches of snow!

You're right about not many historic buildings out here, at least compared to the east coast. But then, I'm not into history at all. I'm much more interested in the natural beauty and the variety of it out here, within a day's drive.

I much prefer the natural beauty of nmture too, though I do appreciate the history of our area, and I like neat old buildings. However, I'm not one to spend too much time at historic sites or museums. As a matter of fact, we went to a historic fort over in Nova Scotia a couple years ago. Can't remember the name now. After about an hour or so, Rick and I had been there long enough and wanted to get back to the pretty coastline views.

We managed to make the front page with this photo take at Put-in-Bay, an island in Lake Erie where they did road racing in the 50's.

http://www.toledoblade.com/local/201...or-racers.html

We drove both the old race course through town and the new course at an air field. Lots of fun on this adult party 2x4 mile island. Off to a wedding today, a car event in Ann Arbor tomorrow, and the "Mad Dogs" all British meet on Sunday. Great having the MGA back on the road finally. I wonder how Legal Bill's AH is coming along?

Nice, Dave. Is your MGA LHD or is Donna driving?
