Thanks, Lainey, Mike, and Deb! It was an easy job to hang it, and only took one trip to the hardware store to get the screw eyes that the chains are attached to.

I don't know if it can be used on the inside smaller pieces though since they're smaller. No, looking at it again, I'd say it's copper foil on the pieces with a leaded cane border holding it all together. Will it be permanent there? Do you have to take it down in strong winds? Great idea and it looks great. I especially like the transparent red circles and shapes that are spread out throughout.

Thanks, Patty. So many questions!

You were right, it is copper foiled (and probably made in China.) It looks like it took a lot of patient work to make it, though.

As far as permanence, I'm not sure that we'll leave it up in winter. Strong winds shouldn't bother it (knock-wood). I'll let you know after the next windy day we get. It does have some kind of protective coating on it, though.

I think you should start a new project.

I think you should start a new project.

My big push right now is to get my RAV4 sold. Just listed it on Craigslist since I've not gotten any action from Auto Trader.

Is there a RAV4 Forum you could list it on as well?

Edit: Never mind...I see you already have it listed there.

Niagara Falls pics...

AJ, Rob and Sandy take in the magnificent glitter of Niagara Falls, Canada.

AJ, Rob, and Sandy take in the magnificent American falls from the Canadian shore.

Lunch at the Hidden Gardens restaurant where you can watch the falls while downing hardy Canadian comfort food. The roast beef and potatos was tasty.

Sandy considers her dining options.

AJ ponders his next move.

One section of Secret Gardens.

Time to do the tourist thing. No pics from the Maid of the Mist. It was just way too wet to bring out the camera.

Hop in the barrel for your E-ticket ride!

Behind the Canadian falls.

Looking up river from Luna Island...Imagine you are an early explorer headed down-river through these placid waters among the many islands...Then as you round one island (Luna Island) you end up here...

View from Luna Island which separates the main section of the American falls from the Bridal Veil.

Its a long way down to one of the Maid of the Mist boats.

Niagara Falls State Park, Goat Island, looking toward Canada over the Canadian falls.

When Lainey says the Maid gets right up to the falls, the Maid gets RIGHT up to the falls. Best view in the area is from the bow of one of the Maid boats. Awesome power.

This is a pic or two from this morning at the Grand Canyon Village. I had brunch there with friends from Flagstaff before I drove back over to Durango. Awesome views!

In the first pic you can see the Bright Angel Trail below. The green area is Indian Garden, and then the trail goes on down to the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch.

Nice, clear photos Jim! When I've been there I think there was some haze.

Looking forward to having this option!

We won't have room on main floor of house, but planning to have one upstairs in my office (the cats spend alot of time with me during the day) and then two in the basement, basically one for each cat.

The carpet and welcome mats are also a good idea. The "pet mats" run $16 each... next time I need to replace, will check Walmart (sorry haters) for two cheapo welcome mats and compare the cost.
