As some of you know, my +1 has been in NYC with her son who is recovering from shoulder surgery for the past week or so. Since Bea's stroke over 7 years ago our dog Maggie and her have formed a very strong bond (Maggie was her therapy dog while she was in rehab). Anyway, Maggie has been missing Bea something terrible since she has been gone. I have found that Maggie is comforted by any scent of Bea, so this morning, I put one of Bea's jackets on the floor, and just found Maggie sound asleep, cuddled up to it.

Good to hear. Your step son was lucky to have her to help out. Some of the little things (opening a bottle of water, making a sandwich) are difficult, when you have one arm tied up. You find ways, but it takes time.
