^^There is an abundance of black cars in SoCal. Although we have a lot of sunshine, it doesn't get nearly as hot here as in AZ, NV, NM, TX, FL, etc. I had the windows tinted to block the UV and heat, and the AC seems to work just fine. It's easy to keep clean since I have multiple coats of Pinnacle carnauba paste wax on it, and it's garaged when not in use. Believe me, it's easier to than the red paint was on my S2000. Plus, what else have I got to do since I've retired??

There is no 6-speed option. All CR-V models come with a 5-speed automatic, 2WD OR 4WD (Mine is 2WD).

 

I thought they were trying to ban dark colored cars in CA becuase the AC required increased fuel....

 

^^ Never heard about that one. Calif is definitely a "nanny" state, but they haven't dictated the color of our cars...yet. In SoCal, if you can afford it, you can have it...even if it's a 1000 hp, black, Bugatti Veyron. You just pay the gas-guzzler surcharge, and motor on your way.
