The Handlebars is only open 6 months of the year. I'm not even sure they survived Socal Jerry's pea shooter attack back then.

We ate across the street at the Pickle Barrel. Just one couple from Pagosa was eating in front of the huge fire, and we were the only other customers.

Patty, seeing your warm California pictures is a complete contrast to Jim's. Both are , though. (And Jerry doesn't look too unhappy that he sold the Jeep)
It was pretty cold at the beach, Gene. I had to turn the RAV4 heat on high to thaw out, but compared to snow it was probably balmy. Jerry was happy to sell the Jeep.

We brought our new family member home today. She is very friendly, not too timid, getting the "lay of the land." She's eaten, found her "facilities" and is doing very well one day post op from being spayed.

Some pics:
Love the markings/coloring of her fur

Checking out the out doors

Cat nip coma!

So far so good. Hope she sleeps well tonight, and doesn't get us up too early in the morning.

It appears that Thelma is well on her way to becoming a properly spoiled kitty. Congratulations on the new family member.

The tortoise shell coloring is remarkable, Lainey.
