Patty, looking good on the beach. When I left San Pedro in December is was rain, cold, and flooding. When I returned Jan 5th, it was cold and cloudy. My question is was that your winter season? LOL

I know what you're talking about, Vyk. We had lots of rain in October (odd) then tons more in December. Now we're in the dry, warm Santa Ana weather. It's strange.

Well it's a nice pic even if you were too chickenSS$$ to come our way and take it yourself. Please let us know if you end up in our neck of the woods this summer!
I'll be there for sure in August. I've already rented a house in ME. I may get up there earlier, depending on my mother's plans for the summer. She usually goes to CT for a month or so, and I may have to drive her up there this year. Either way, I'll be sure to let you know when I'm in the neighborhood.

Posting more pics...where are the rest of you guys? Patty and I are missing your contributions.

I took my grandson on an outing to the fire station today. My sister's brother in law is a firefighter. We got the grand tour.

They really are ready to jump into their boots and pants. We got a demo.

In the driver's seat!

He didn't want to put on the hat, so I did.

Left to right: My sister, me, Ryan, her brother in law, and her husband/my brother in law.

Where will you be in Maine, Dean? We like to try different areas...thus far have a pretty good knowledge of Arcadia, Stonington, Boothbay Harbor and Brunswick.

We may rent a house for a time later in 2011, but it will be in September after the kids return to school. :exitright:

I think this was posted before....great spot a little north of Brunswick. It's a beautiful state.

Dang Lainey, you are taking some REALLY GREAT photos these days. I'm just catching up on this thread. My eyes have been too sore to look at much beyond the mess I'm trying to work myself out of in my MS Publisher files..... the short of it is I scanned in 240 some photos directly in the Pub files rather than into a photo folder first. Now they have no extension on them and the program has no way off allowing me to re-save them for use in my Mac ....... of course they are all genealogy photos which I really want and they were borrowed to begin with. I can make PDF's but then I can't edit and add to the file as more info comes in. Sorry to get off track, but when it comes to storing photos it's good to know what the hell you are doing. Clearly at the time I didn't.

BTW, you got some many good photos lately it's hard to pick the best but that sure is nice natural smile on Ryan in the driver's seat.
