Yes, great shots.

My only pet as a child was a Guinea Pig, which was all the "chestnut" color in the middle of this guy/gal. Mine was named "Minnie the Moocher" b/c the squeaking started whenever the fridge door opened...

^ Is that another guinea pig on the right? It looks like a bad hairpiece.
^^ Yes, that's another guinea pig with long hair. I had never seen one like that before.

They were very well behaved little animals, and made cute purring sounds when my grandson would hold them. They seemed to be very picky about the vegetables they ate. I think their diet is better than my kids'.

Time marches on. This is my Dad's family in 1946. (Dad is not in the picture). The only people left are the two children,(my cousins) my Mom, second row on the left, and my father's sister in law, first row right, second one in. The man in the front row on the right was her husband, my Dad's youngest brother. He passed away today after a long haul with Alzheimer's. He was a fun, loving guy. RIP, Uncle Paul.

Sorry to "corrupt" this thread but it is more of a photo than a joke.

The result when (some) men bake cookies!

Photo class week II. One assignment was "The Color Red" I wandered around the waterfront, found some red and a few other things that caught my eye. Having fun with the class and it's getting me out and about when I'd most likely be in, hiding from winter.

The company I work for provided equipment to these vessels.

I liked this one for the reflections and the way the water looked.

I had some other homework, and I'm not pleased with the results. I may try again this AM, but it's only 12 degrees, so I think I need to let it warm up a bit before heading outside.

I like the boat pics the best. The pictures where the object is not right "in your face" and off to the side provide more visual interest in my totally humble opinion. Great work.

Thanks, Val. I appreciate the comments.

Tomorrow I've got a day. My sister's brother in law is a fire fighter. I'm heading to the his station with my grandson and camera.

Plenty of red there and even if the shots aren't what I want, or aren't good, the grandson will LOVE it.
