That is a CH-47D Chinook, made by Boeing/Vertol. I just looked up the data for it and it is a 1964 model that was previously a military helicopter. The company that owns it is out of Billings, Montana. Looks like it was rebuilt to its current configuration.

Surely something you don't see everyday...

From a photography perspective, you need to slow the shutter speed down. Helicopters with non-moving rotors... they fall out of the sky.

I was using my Google Pixel 3. No shutter control. I'm always impressed with its pictures though.
