Patricia that is neat. We had a hot air balloon land across the street at the park years ago.

Went out today looking for foliage, we were a bit late. Very little left, the leaves are falling. So, we went to a local spot/farm that boards horses. The horses are often in a field. They were at one end, and apparently one of the owners/workers called out to one of the horses from the other end. The horse galloped across the field and I was ready (almost). I think my shutter speed could have been just a bit faster. It was cool to watch this on a lovely fall day What a beautiful animal!

My wife could not resist a new Christmas decoration for the home today, it is actually really well built - all tin, with lights. Very cool.

I was going to post in the pets thread, but these aren't mine.

Yesterday at Jim Thorpe, there was a variety of dogs. This border collie puppy was there. Owner said she never sits for a picture. The buck was in my yard when we returned today. I got some pics, then he went to the woods, then came out and I got more, then I went inside. Just now, I look and he's sitting under a tree. No more than 15 feet from the house. Not nearly as dramatic as Patty's Elk herd, but, there's no elk around here.

Do not think TX/CO Jim will object to my posting these. I was amazed he came into the back yard of the Durango house because it is pretty confined. Maybe not so wild?

^10-26-2024. My son and grandson. Julian was three and I was told by him that he wanted a cake with a green tractor and trailer and dirt.

^10-26-2024. It came out okay. I bought some new tips for grass. I needed a grass tip last year, too.

SWMBO said " Oh isn't that adorable!!!"
That's high praise.
Among her other artsy endeavors, she had taken a cake decorating series. You know roses on a nail and so forth.
