BTW, if you see a pink tinge, pull out your cellphone and put it on night-sight. Then hold it up and look around using the phone. I did that last night to find where the color was. I figured that out last night and wish I knew it in May.
Patty, thank you for your suggestions. I will give it a try tonight. I will see if I can figure out how to put my cellphone camera on the night mode.

This is what I see on my Google Pixel 7 Pro...

^ This is when I open the camera setting. See "Night Sight' to the right? I touch that to get it into night site.

^Now it's in Night Sight mode.

I was very frustrated that I couldn't see anything. We simply don't have a good northern view; just too many trees.

I need to go to Iceland so I can get a photo of the comet with great northern lights overhead and lava in the foreground.

Some shots from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Steinbeck got much of his inspiration from there.

Our grandson is in his first year at University of Gainesville in Florida. He came home to Ohio last Tuesday night, and went back to Gainesville on Sunday evening, to escape the hurricane. This picture was taken after we had lunch with our daughter, granddaughter, and grandson at an Asian Bistro restaurant.

Last Saturday I rode my ElliptiGO with the goal of finding fall colors nearby, in Loveland, CO.

The thing that stuck with me about Colorado was the persistent brown background.

I've noticed that too. Glad Patricia can find some colors.
I remember a trip to Scottsdale AZ. The lack of color jumped out at me right away. I have to say I prefer the green mountains in New England.

Here's my pic today. Hanging out with the egrets. They won't be here much longer.
