I went to check on the ospreys. Watching them fish is pretty cool to see. They hang around a herring run where the water moves swiftly. They quickly dive down, grab a fish (successful 1 out of 4 tries they say), surface, hanging on to the fish and fly away. I was able to get some shots of this today. Fast shutter speed, images not perfect but his eye is in focus. Hope to be able to photograph this again.

Thanks, Gary. Nature is pretty cool to observe, fun to photograph. Not National Graphic worthy, but I was happy with the captures.

I'll have some free time coming up to do the same. I haven't been out to shoot in some time now. There's a few pairs of Bald Eagles within close proximity. Might start to head out to see what I see and hopefully get some shots.

I hope you do get to enjoy that free time. I really don't have any other hobby except the photography. Yesterday's weather was rather iffy so we had no plans. I decided to go to a local park to look for ducklings. Rick came along. We spotted a few. Then we made the ride to check out the osprey. Some days there is zero activity, yesterday lots of activity. A little photography outing is always better than hanging around the house, even if you never push the shutter button.

PS I haven't seen the local eagles since I snapped a pic posted here previously.
