Odds and Ends Vintage Photos XI
#2931
Speaking of the sound barrier, I found two cards of my dad's on my hunt for photos of my son when my son was one year-old. I loved my dad. He died in 2007, after having Alzheimer's and I'm now remembering him before that time of his life. Seeing old photos of him help. We didn't have any type of service or remembrance when he died. I can think of him now without remembering that part.
Someone taking his ID would be 98 and there are still a small number people of that age around.

We would be far offshore in our sailboat and you would see a dark line appearing on the water and coming toward us. Then a couple jets would fly by and when the shockwave got there you'd hear the double boom. We could see them before we would hear them.

I remember in baseball, in the outfield I often saw the ball coming (fast) towards me, a split second before I heard the bat contact.
