Your dad appears to be a great person with great history. Neat memorabilia and photos. I question if it is safe to post all that fine detail on the internet but I'm sure you thought of that.

Someone taking his ID would be 98 and there are still a small number people of that age around.

We would be far offshore in our sailboat and you would see a dark line appearing on the water and coming toward us. Then a couple jets would fly by and when the shockwave got there you'd hear the double boom. We could see them before we would hear them.

I remember in baseball, in the outfield I often saw the ball coming (fast) towards me, a split second before I heard the bat contact.

lol, yeah, retro must be in . . . there's hope for me yet . . . those might work well for broken toes as well

Wow seems like kids are starting school a lot earlier than back in my day. We always started school right around Labor Day.

It depends on location. In Colorado they start in August and get out in May. It's different in California.

They have started here as well. I think it is to accommodate the potential for weather related closings.
