OK, I'm back from Pittsburgh and my niece's wedding. All photos untouched at this point. I shot around the house, the rehearsal dinner and a little before the wedding. No cameras at the ceremony - "we have professionals, so sit back and enjoy"

Here's the story on the first one... I rarely shave. about once a week or so I use my clippers to "scrape" my beard back to stubble length, then really shave when it's needed. I had also forgotten the gauges for the trimmer this weekend (that gets resolved later). So, when I talked to Hannah, I said, "For the rehearsal dinner, are muttonchops ok?" She said YES, go ahead! It would have been so much better if I had the trimmer gauge them to thin out and trim the goatee to the same length. Needless to say, for the wedding, it was all cleaned up.

Thanks all...

Wedding was an absolute blast. 430 ceremony, Cocktail Hour then a buffet. They chose buffet because the hall doesn't have a full kitchen setup. It was an old greenhouse/garden center converted over. Some of the food choices didn't allow sit down eating. Food was still very good. The DJ and photographers got all of the things done quickly and up front. After about an hour into the festivities, all the "must do" items were done and it was the dance floor until the end of the evening.

They are a mixed marriage. The Rabbi and Priest have worked together in the past and the transitions, choice of prayers and customs was very smooth during the ceremony and the reception.

They had some very interesting things. For the table photos, the DJ made an announcement, - they have 1 song to get the table pics done. So get your tables ready, and GO. No waiting for Uncle Gary or some guy named Bob who isn't at the table for table photos. They literally went table to table, 10 second each, and table photos done in 5 minutes.

They had a clear night - everyone got 3 foot sparklers and created a tunnel outside that they ran up, danced and saw everyone. Video/pics of that should be awesome.

Lastly, and not sure if its a Pittsburgh thing or more in the midwest in general- a Cookie Table? So there were about 50 varieties of cookies, with dozens to a 100 of each. So besides dessert, there is this entire cookie table (3 actually). People take what they want, then grab a box to take home. I can't tell you how many cookies we took home at the end of the night.

So excited for my niece and her husband to get started on their journey together.

lol... no, because I didn't have a calculator with me. I've had 1 box at work for 2 days now and there's barely a dent in it. We have 3 more boxes at home still.
