Ours started back Monday.

 

I hope they have a/c it can be the hottest time of the year down there right now.
We used to get a week off in the end of December, and then a week in February for some reason and then a week in the spring. In total we had to complete 180 days so we had to make up any snow days. This was public school.

 

Our local schools started yesterday. The schools I when to won’t start for another week and a half due to the coming county fair.

Back in the good old days we always started the day after Labor Day.

Most of the schools here are air conditioned. We've had very low (for the time of year) temps for the past week or so. Highs have been in the low 80s with temps dropping to low 70s or high 60s at night. However with those cooler temps comes rain, rain, rain.

 

We had a few a/c window units in our high school but they never worked but luckily it didn't get that hot or if it did it didn't last long.

 

I came across this photo from the 1991 vintage race in Pittsburgh, PA. In those days I attended vintage races all over the country. I was hooked and had plans to become part of it. I purchased a second MGA for that very reason. As time passed my arthritis issues forced me to settle for taking an S2000 to the track. I love this shot of early MG T-types and pre-War types getting ready. I got a chance to drive #53 in the paddock area at Waterford Hills near Pontiac one year.

 

I finally got my 2007 aligned today. It just felt nutty in back and forth turns. The rear passenger alignment was off. It's better now. I should have done it years ago.

 

Did you do just the standard alignment or something special?

 

I have the printout with all the before and after numbers. I didn't want it set up for track or autocross but a little more responsive. I let them decide what that meant. I'll share the printout when I can.
