More birds...it's what I do. Took a late day ride back to the little beach where I saw the piping plovers. A few different shore birds were out this evening too. I'm learning a bit more about them as they can look very much alike. Hiding in AC so sharing with you.

Semi palmated sandpiper (I think)

Piping Plover and his shadow

Semi palmated plover (I think) Sand on his nose/bill. Notice his bill is not orange and there is no black ring around his neck or marking on his head.

Yeah. Some pretty good wineries up there. So you drove up one side of Seneca Lake and down the other?
I was born and raised in Penn Yan, btw.

I think you told me that when I commented about the Diner there.

We did 2 drives, up one side and back down, and up the other side and back down the 2nd day

Ah, memories.

Too bad mine has gotten to the point where I tell the same stories over and over again.

Nice family, Deb. Very blue...which happens to be my favorite color so maybe I'm biased.

Nope. Just a very nice family.

Baby wabbits up the street dining in front of some townhomes. Lady who lives there said the mother had them in bushes, five of them. We saw two very relaxed bunnies.
