And a good thing, too. Imagine the current US flag with fifty stripes. From a distance it would just look like a field of pink..

So unless I'm in the dark . . . your raccoon turned out to be a skunk!! BTW, nice feet. I really like the new camera!! I think I'll order one.

I'm not sure what made the tracks. I've seen raccoons here, too. Maybe I'll catch a raccoon, too. I also got the AA batteries, SD card and mount on Amazon.

If I got the same one ($110), Std 128GB SD card ($18), eight lithium batteries ($19), mount (?), plus MI 6% tax = $156.

I have regular AA batteries but they recommend lithium for colder climates and longer use. My thought is to have it do double duty. Install it in a mount above the front door for security and take it down when I want to check out what's getting into our feeders at night. Does that make sense?

You can also look at an app you put on your phone to see what it sees live, but I don't know yet if you can see what it recorded.

That would be the way I would use it. It's near impossible to know who is at the front door when it rings.

Patty, do you use a card reader to transfer the photos?

I was glad I didn't have a doorbell camera at the back door today. I would have some very ungraceful footage of me. Somehow, I tripped up the last step on the deck. The stuff I was carrying went flying as I went down. I managed to skin one knee right through my jeans. If I had a camera, I'd have to watch the video.

Thankful a skinned knee is the only issue.

Sorry you fell and I am glad there was nothing more than a skinned knee and bruised ego but you know we all would like to see that footage!

IF I had a video, maybe American Funniest Videos would pay me for it! They like videos where old ladies fall down, right?

Lainey, I am sorry that you fell but I am glad that it was not more serious.

It could have had a much more serious outcome.

Was it not your sister who had some kind of a fall and broke her leg? How is she doing?
