Was that the take-off or the landing? Cool picture!

Outstanding photo of the swan - it really captures the event! It has a real 'painting' quality rather than a photo look.

It was part of the take off, though he didn't get too far aloft at that point. Just enough to set the goose straight. I'm surprised at times that swans can fly.....lots of "drag" as they take off.

Barbara's response" wow that is just incredible, awesome picture.
She is curious about the lens used and how you managed to capture it.

Thanks to Barbara. 100-400 zoom, shutter speed was around 1/2000, I think...I'll double check. Had a few photos in the "series" while the swan was on the move. Barb isn't on Face Book is she?

Appreciate the likes and positive feedback. Thanks. I'm always happy when I get a few keepers from an outing with the camera. Wildlife is just a great subject for me. It's there and it doesn't require too much creativity. The critter creates the scene. Meanwhile, in RI yesterday, wandering among the daffodils, I couldn't get much more than photos which can only be described as s snapshots. Composition on that type of scene is more difficult for me. Unless I get up close and person with the macro...........

I thought some may like these restored old WW2 era Kodachrome photos. Female mechanics at the North American Aviation plant, in Inglewood, CA.

Assembling a P51 tail gear.

Assembling B25 engines.
