I'd like to add knowing how to handle arrogant hurtful relatives to the list. I'm trying to figure that one out.

We pick our friends. We have no choice when it comes to relatives.

I'm learning that you can have relatives you just don't like. I used to think it meant I should try harder to communicate but I've enough already. It's time to stop and accept the truth. Some people just aren't nice no matter if they are blood relatives.

Sadly I suspect most people have had to deal with relatives that are not as nice as they should be. I've tried to always be a kind and nice person but I am no longer willing to go out of my way for certain relatives who are just plain jerks.

Sorry you continue to deal with that. Let's hope some aging and maturity counteract the arrogance down the line, though it may be a genetic thing. When there are other family members you really want to spend time with, and feel like you must walk on eggshells around the arrogant one can't be easy.

Did not expect this to come out on Jan 29. A nice surprise.

Interesting that this bloom has been open for two days now. Normally, they die after one day. Maybe the cold out there is preserving it. Will warm up as soon as the sun shines in.

^1-30-2022. Goodbye, dear Logan. We all met at my son's house to say our goodbyes to our daughter's boyfriend's and her dog. Spleen and liver cancer is taking him.

^1-31-2022. Sunrise.

Sad about Logan. Losing a pet is so hard. I still miss my beloved Sally who died on Dec 31 2020 (a year from hell).
