Sunsets are different with more humidity on the air. So much more golden in southern California than in Loveland, Colorado.

The Gulf Fritillary Butterfly. As seen in my avatar photo. I've only seen them here in SC. They remind me of my sister who passed. The first time I saw one was here in SC the day after she passed. Today in Charleston, they were out and about. I took several other photos in Charleston, but no keepers at all.

Those of you who are on Facebook may know we are spending the week in Ocracoke NC. Here are a few pics taken so far.

Steps to our studio apartment for the week.

This was taken at a viewpoint overlooking the pony pen pasture where the descendants of ship-wrecked horses are now cared for by the National Park Service. (The ponies were shy!)

A dinghy with the pirate ships.

Pirate ships in the harbor.

Looks nice an warm Gene. We've got one or two days left in the 50's and then its 40's for highs for Nov. I didn't realize your dog was that big (or a wife that cute)!

Gene, I also did not realize that your dog is that big.

Gene, you and Bea are both looking good!

Thanks, Dave, Sue, and Emil. I’ll pass your comments on to Bea. I think the photos make our dog look bigger than her 25 pounds. She really loves it here, except she’s not too crazy about the 16 steps to our apartment!

A nice late fall day. Got a little top down time in in the S2000. Looking for cranberry bogs that were being harvested. Most have been harvested already, but we did find one.
