Enjoy, Gene. We still hope to get back to that area. This was low tide, the wide angle may have enhanced the view. The beaches in the Outer Banks were nicer. I took this pic after we walked past the red stinky sea weed.

Patty, are you getting excited about your new role/Grandma? Is that what you want to be called? I was Grandma, my sister is Mimi to her grandkids, and my other sister was Memere (French ). I did not want to be called Memere, made me feel old!Grand-mère is the formal French term for grandmother. It can be spelled with or without the hyphen. Grand-maman is slightly less formal, and there are several informal terms, including gra-mere, mémère, mémé and mamé. Mamie is also used by modern French families.
Occasionally mémère is used as a pejorative to indicate that a person is old-fashioned or slow, much as Americans may say that someone "drives like a grandma."

Jerry, it was Middletown, RI.
Patricia, I hope your son relaxes in life, but sometimes with first babies, they are working to hard to have the perfect child and do it all, they don't quite figure out how to enjoy life a bit more, or relinquish any control. My nephew's wife says her active little boy (their second child) really made her learn to let things go. She now seems to enjoy life and the kids more.
