Odds and Ends Vintage Photos XI

Our daughter wanted to have all of us over for a family get together the day after they got back but we all decided that it would be better to wait a few weeks.
That is too bad about Anika’s cruise. Were your parents going to go, too?

Yes, all of us. They figured it may be the last chance they have to spend longer periods with her, since with college and more likely work hours summers, vacations together would be difficult.
We're rescheduled for the week between Christmas & New year's. Maybe better - well away from hurricane season!

Somehow I don't think I added this photo back in May. Many folks on this forum will recognize the quote:
"That which we manifest is before us"
(Anika's graduation cap)
- The skyline is that of Columbus, Ohio - home to THE Ohio State University.

I am lucky that there are car people here! I miss group drives with S2000s since I haven't been to one of our meets in years but there are lots of car groups on Facebook. We had a drive last night, July 19, 2021, with all sorts of cars and it was only a 30 minute drive for me to the starting point and took less time to get home. There were no slow pokes and no dangerous drivers. I was by far the oldest driver and one of two women drivers. The ride was organized on Facebook by the general manager of Antonio's Pizza in Estes Park. He organized a convertible only drive a few months ago that I went on.
We had a group of about 30 insane motorcycle riders pass us in the last 10 miles. They were doing well over 120 mph and passing in no passing zones while cars were coming. Most of them had no license plates. I covered my left ear to block out their screaming motors. When we got to within a mile of our end point, we came across the motorcycle group all pulled over. One of the riders crashed and the others were cleaning up the road of his motorcycle's debris. I didn't see him but others said his leg was broken at the shin and bent sideways. I've seen videos of these insane riders but this was the first time I saw them in person. Super dangerous. As I went home there were paramedics with the hurt guy. Most of the riders had already left as we saw them riding from our last stop.
^My 2007 S2000.
^ Subie lead car.
^Right hand drive, Suzuki Cappuccino.
The guy on the right drove the right hand drive Suzuki Cappuccino .

Did he drive from the left seat?
Just came back from a bike ride. We are having brat burgers before going to the grandson's baseball game (I love seeing him play but it goes from 5:30 to 9 pm; another reason I hate baseball).

No. He was getting ragged on before we left that his car wasn't worth half of a peanut butter sandwich. He was the last one to arrive. I was pleasantly surprised that his little car was fast enough. We had some hills and he didn't slow us down.

Headed to the new Cisco Brewery and restaurant. Waterfront nice use of older property. Picnic tables on sand, water view large restaurant with upper deck. Enjoyable time food decent. Ran into a friend there who pointed out the image on the back of some shirts and sweatshirts. Hmm. I’ll have to assume someone else saw a photo op. Not sure what they charged for this sweatshirt but other T shirts were $30.00. Nope no sale
