Pretty sunset and the constant sound of ocean waves. I'm staying two nights here in an ocean front room. It'll be enough. I really do like dry clear air better than ocean air.

Nice...we lived in Oceanside many years ago when my dad was stationed at Camp Pendleton.

Patty, why are you staying in a hotel when you are so close to home?

We've had a visitor since last Thursday (day of my surgery), maybe he was sent to keep me company? He's really pretty. Friends that live in the country are coming to capture him later and take him home. Around here he could get eaten by a fox, which are all over the area.

Neat! Reminds me of the chickens all over Maui.

My house doesn't have the ocean right outside the front door which is why I'm staying here. I like the sound of the ocean but I won't be back. There is a street right under me and every jerk with loud music has to drive by with it blasting out the windows. It's only a single lane one-way street.

These six visitors show up every afternoon around 4:00 for the corn I take down and leave for them. Sorry for the crappy zoomed cell phone pic.

Gene, it's nice of you to provide extra winter food for wildlife, unlike Dean who apparently is not willing to contribute to the nutrition of foxes in his area.

OMG I never expected that criticism. I shall wear ashes and repent. (it's a rooster, not a chicken)
