Some people really like mermaids. I took this photo last summer and posted it on FB. A friend wants a copy for her daughter. I may have it done on canvas. I have straightened it a tad and removed the spots from sensor dust. I was able to edit it and decrease the "blown out" areas too. However, an eagle eye noticed that East and West are a tad confused. Obviously, I was standing on the wrong side of the street. I may have noticed it and dismissed it. I had just ordered a few copies of this one when the direction issue was mentioned. I called to "stop the presses" this morning. I figured out how to flip the photo so that the directions are correct. So, should I flip it, or leave it and as it is and mess with people in my own way?
I had a few copies of my "Directionally Challenged" mermaid printed and I'm happy with them. This version was not as blown out in some areas. I straightened it, took out sensor dust and she looks pretty good. A simple black frame and she will be a nice addition to someone's wall. Will bring a few to the local gift shop on consignment. Everyone likes a mermaid!
Mermaid photo well received among family and friends. One wants a copy for her niece. My niece wants two copies and my sister might want a canvas. I'll make a couple of bucks on some of the deals. Maybe enough to buy Rick a beer. Do I have to report this income to the IRS? I believe I'm still operating at a loss.
Chris Lamarre delivered the table and benches he created for me, today. I'm very happy with the finished product. Because the pine trees were killed by beetles the wood color changes from plain white to white with orange, black or brown as the tree gets streesed out. He chose each log by hand up in Rocky Mountain National Forest near Estes Park at above 8,000 feet. He does all the work himself. By the way, he's from Long Island.
