Yeah, it was a bust here. I tried to see a bit of red as the moon was setting, but it sank behind a building before I could.

You get points for trying, Gary. Maybe in retirement I'll get up early for such events..........

Thought this interesting... the building I work in is getting a makeover. My employer used to own the building and sold years ago. We've since leased space as a transitional site and extra office space as needed, Fully populated, about 800 people, recently, as few as 150 or so. Well, the company built a new facility in the area, is closing two others and repopulating this to capacity.
so, I guess the owners have been asked to do I renovations. The inside atrium is redone, new HVAC, roof, parking lots, cafeteria rebuild. Now they are doing the sidewalks and walkways.
this little backhoe thing lifts 12 concrete tiles at once. The guy take small pieces and throws the under. When the operator drops the big piece, it cracks into manageable pieces to remove. Go figure!
btw... in the repopulation... I'm moving from this great window location. On the first floor, to an inside, heavily trafficked hallway on the second floor. Arghhh!

Best I could do with my Note4 and a pair of binoculars!

Hmmm. Not bad considering it’s a Goldbergian setup. You must be proud.
In the near future cell phone and tablet camera images will exceed that of high quality dedicated digital cameras. Cell phone companies have a MUCH larger camera staff with scores of high quality technicians, programmers and engineers, than say, Sony, Nikon and Canon.

Nice pics of the red blue super moon.
Hey, Gary, in the construction pic, is that an AutoArt die-cast S2000?

Sorry you are losing your view, Gary. I would not enjoy being windowless at work.

Moon shot, from another poster off audio board. Specs:
"This will not be like one of the perfect moon shots you've probably seen in the last 24 hours. However, I did get out of bed yesterday to view the lunar eclipse full blue bloody moon. I didn't fiddle with the tripod so this is hand-held at 1/5 sec/f1.8/ISO 5000. In my skivvies, in the front yard. (nobody around). I used just a 75mm lens, which is not much of an astronomy tool. But I'm pretty impressed with the image stabilization that lets me shoot at 1/5 second with this camera. ISO 5000 isn't bad either."
