Maybe, critical is okay. If it's constructive. Very hard to be satisfied with any artistic endeavor. I drive ppl crazy around here with incessant guitar playing. Same lines --- over-&-over --- until bodies are escaping out any open windows.

Wellp... got the telephoto. Now, to get to the eclipse.

FYI... anyone interested in the new 100-400mm lens --- Really Right Stuff's quick release adapter for the Sony 70-200mm lens works perfect with this one.

So what did you use to take the photo of the camera?

A VERY nice Lens, Wind. Where do you intend on viewing the eclipse? BTW, if you don't already own a 77MM solar filter (18 stop) order yours soon, most are on back order.

This shot of the sun was taken today at 11:00 am with ~ a 900mm lens - the sky was hazy. Still practicing for the totality of the eclipse. A lot to photograph within 2 1/2 minutes.

There’s a small sun spot @ 7:00 on the photo.

Have friends near Portland without A/C and they're a bit concerned about the remainder of the week.

It's been hot and humid in LA area. Like tropical storm weather. Without the heavy rains.

I'm trying to takes some sample photos with that lens. Most telephoto, I've ever own. Weight is surprisingly not too bad. About 3-3.5 pounds. Has this funky door in the lens hood, for adjusting polarizing filters.
