Good for you. I don't wait for winter. Three or four times a year I run my John Deere onto car ramps, remove and hand sharpen the two blades and clean out the mower bed, top & bottom. I don't do my walk-behind as much since its more or less just for doing my ditch area. I take pride in keeping all my tools in good condition. The Deere is 26 years old and the other 24. On my 'do list' this winter is to replace the transaxle on the Deere.

Sunsets, ghost walks, clean lawnmowers, it's all good. I don't think Rick fusses with the lawn mower at the end of the season. It's not a Honda, so maybe it doesn't matter?

^^ Good maintenance practices, Patty. It’s interesting…my grass is still growing! For me, I stop mowing the lawn is when grass stops growing. I’ll progressively lower the cutting height down to 1 3/4 -2” to help eliminate lawn deceases when covered in snow. I’ll also use the lawnmower to remove and mulch leaves as late as December, depending upon the snow cover. And then…lawn mower maintenance.
