Really pretty, Jim. Fall colors were starting to appear in ME, but only in small areas. Weatherman says peak color will be about two weeks late in our areas.

There is an excursion train that runs through Cuyahoga Valley National Park most of the year. They normally run diesel engines but for this and next weekend they brought in a steam engine to pull some newly acquired California Zephyr passenger cars. It was a fun evening.

We were out chasing wild life on Cape Cod today. Saw some of the usual critters. Came home to find this visitor hanging around on the back door.

It's a Praying Mantis...up close and personal.

I was thinking it might be a Praying Mantis.

I don't think I've ever seen one quite up so close and so "personal."

Actually, maybe not so scary after all.

Sort of friendly looking. Maybe even smiling at me.

This actually happened with some guys from Maine.

They dressed the truck up with the guy dummy spread eagle on the roof of the truck.

The driver and passenger put on Moose Heads.

Down the Maine Toll interstate they went, causing about 16 accidents.

They went to jail. Yamn Dankees have no sense of humor.
