My son and I travelled to Vancouver, BC earlier this year as neither of us had been before. The Vancouver International Auto Show was going on while we were visiting. They had a good number of exotics on hand (I was also impressed at how many exotics I saw around the city) in addition to all of the other brands you'd expect to find. But one of my favorite cars at the show was this Mercedes Benz 190SL. I've never really been a fan of these cars, but I developed a bit of a fondness for the color combo on this particular car. As it turned out, this car apparently belonged to the head of one of the local Mercedes clubs in the region (they also had some current exotics set up in their space). When he asked me if I could identify where the turn signal controls were on the car I guessed the inner ring on the steering wheel, which it seems was correct. That was all it took for him to invite me back to look at the car in more detail. I was glad that he did as it was a beautiful little car.
I wasn't sure where else to post these photos, this seemed like as as good of a thread as any...

My new license plates arrived today. My 2007 S2000 started in Raleigh, NC and I bought it and had it shipped to Trabuco Canyon, California. I have it in Loveland, Colorado now. I am pleased with the new plates.
^Old California plates. I also used these on my 2005 Suzuka blue S2000. They'll be on my garage wall.

Nice, Patty.
These two pics aren't that great, but I like them. I saw the clock with the plants reflected and thought it was interesting. My balcony has been acting like a greenhouse with all the light, heat and humidity. The plants have gone particularly wild this summer (my 12th in this condo). I had more flowers than ever, even the hibiscus that I brought from my mother's house three years ago. I keep the doors to the inside closed when it's very hot, and the shades drawn until the sun goes around the building.

Looks good, Patty and Deb. Today might be a nice balcony day, Deb. Our weather is much better, hope yours is too!
We took a stroll to the center of our little town last night. The old cars, and old people that go with said old cars, were on display. Ran into a few people we knew. Grabbed a couple of shots.
UK and USA on display
This TD had a V8 under the hood.

We were at the Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo this past Thursday night. It was absolutely beautiful and these pictures don't do it justice.

Cool photos! An event like that on a warm summer night, must be way more fun that looking at Christmas lights in the freezing cold!

Some great stuff lately. There's a lantern festival around here and we've never gone. Maybe I should plan a trip!!!
Went to the BMW Championship for yesterday's practice round. It's at Arominink, an old Philly course. Normally, they finish the previous tournament on Sunday, Monday is travel, and Tues/Wed is practice and the pro-am. Thursday to Sunday is the next tournament. But, they played Friday to Monday last week, presumably to put something on TV on Monday? That meant players traveled late Sunday or early Monday from Boston. There weren't many players on the course practicing, but some stars were.
I enjoy the practice rounds because you can bring in your camera (but no bag!) Here's a few shots:
Tiger teeing off.
Ryan Palmer (I think). Ball just off the club.
Jason Day practicing in a sand trap.
