Another Sunday, another top down drive, this time in the S. We feel so fortunate to have two top down vehicles to play with. The 100K (mileage not $) S2000 looks so pretty, she still turns heads. I found another car show on line. Little did I know it was one of the largest ones we've ever been to. It was on the grounds of a mansion. Food, music, and so many cars, most grouped by make/model. It was quite crowed, and so sunny the light was quite harsh, not good for picture taking. I brought the 50mm on one camera and tried to get creative with tail lights, hood ornaments and the like. Grabbed these photos off FB so resolution is probably lacking.

I got in a nice ElliptiGO ride this morning before it got hot. The challenge of the week is elevation gain. I ended up with 1,494 feet of gain in 20.2 miles. That's respectable.

Got a used 1970s Sony turntable. Needed a little repair work. Found a nice used SME tonearm and new Ortofon cartridge. Sounds pretty nice.

Lainey, your 50mm pics pop!
Patty, I just drove a road to the bottom and back to the Gunnison River Gorge that, if you GO'd up it, you would gain 2,000 feet in 5 miles!
There was a hiker about half-way up, and he looked like he was hurting. Oh, the elevation was 8,400 at the top and 6,400 at the bottom.

Thanks, Gene.
Wind, you must have quite a collection of stereo equipment now. Do you use it regularly?
Patricia, love your scenery while you GO!

Not a pretty picture but I just came across it. Taken by the wife June 30th about midnight.
Only the second time one of my MGAs have needed a flatbed in decades of driving them. Even with a bad generator and dead battery I could have made it home if it were daylight by simply using the hand crank to restart . . . but needing headlights did me in and it was no time to swap generators even tho I carried a spare.

Short answer:
Worked great last Sunday. Took a 3 hour drive to an all British Car Show.
Long answer:
It took several days to sort out because the shop that I took the generator to said it was fine. So I tossed it back on and looked else where. Bought a new battery as the other was 7 yrs old. When that didn't solve it, I changed out the voltage regulator, and when that didn't solve it, I put in a brand new generator, etc., etc. My on the car tests show the original generator to be bad. I plan to take it to another shop that works on old stuff in Lansing, 30 miles away, to have them test and repair if needed. I ended up swapping voltage regulators again as there was nothing wrong with the original but its used replacement was bad. The final hurdle was flashing the new generator to polarize it (I'd forgotten that was a must do step when changing them).
