Thanks, Sue...I just kept pressing that shutter button. I did a little cropping to the photo when I got home. I had the zoom on the camera.

I got in my longest Colorado ElliptiGO ride, today; 41 miles. I love this place! It's Cathy Fromme Prairie Natural Area. It's 13 miles from my house.

7-5-2018. I saw this from the Spring Creek Trail and had to come in for a closer look.
7-5-2018. Oh! That's what it "is".
^7-5-2018. This selfie is the best in ages. I don't know how it got rid of my wrinkles but I like it. It was at a different part of the trail.
Description
Cathy Fromme Prairie is a rare example of Fort Collins pre-settlement shortgrass prairie landscape. Drylands and wetlands here provide habitat to a variety of plants and animals. Look for horned lizards, ground-nesting songbirds, butterflies, rabbits, coyotes and rattlesnakes. The raptor observatory, built into the hillside near the Shields Street entrance, is an excellent place from which to watch hawks and eagles, especially in winter.^7-5-2018.
